Trax devices require connection to GPS satellites to calculate the position of the tracker and connection via cellular/mobile networks to transmit this information to our servers.
To connect to the cellular/mobile network, Trax needs a SIM card with an active data plan.
Each Trax device comes with a built in SIM card that cannot be removed or replaced. All you need to do is activate it with a data plan. There are several prepaid data plan options available on our website so you can choose the one that suits you best.
With your active data plan you can use your Trax in over 100 countries without any extra charges!
Please be aware that if you do not purchase a data plan for your tracker, it will not work.
